Felix Manjarrez Bio
Since 2015 I have been detailed to the New York City Fire Academy, assigned to the Health & Fitness Unit. With my 20 years of service and experience in the New York City Fire Department, 3 of which began with EMS, I have been fortunate enough to have mentored and coached over 3500 Probationary Fire Fighters.
In addition, although no longer coaching in the discipline, I am a committed practitioner of Jiu Jitsu since 2005. I am currently practicing this passion at Essentials Jiu Jitsu & Fitness. I am a Brown Belt under JT Torres. I have taken the lessons from my coaching experience in the world of Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts, to explicate the diversity of Fitness.
I humbly continue to use myself as a client; refining my skill sets, evolving, and overcoming my limitations, all of which allows me to translate the language of movement to those who are first attempting a more active lifestyle via Mata Fuego Training. Coaching has motivated me and sparked my passion for self-development. My personal goals are to constantly and consistently increase self-proficiency and strengthen & preserve longevity. To successfully help others obtain growth via Fitness is my earnest ambition.
